Small places

Sometimes we need to escape the everyday sound and smell

Sometimes we crave the desert, sea
or seek deep in the forest where the animals dwell
Do yourself a favor and jump onto the next boat
go and visit a small place call Son
Where you can just be and float
Its summer now, and this is a time people plan their holidays.
Take a chance and travel in different ways.
Don't always travel to the famous and known
open your eyes to the small and forgotten
walk new paths
talk to people who live different lives
remember small can be big
and big.. small.

Sunny days

 Sunny days
soaking heat and the sun's glimmering rays.
Days where you wonder how we so easy forget
About the beauty, what hot feels like and what it feels to jump with head under water and get wet.
Spend your sunny day in the most natural ways.
Absorbe the heat as though you were a reptile
swim like a dolphin
Shake off the dust like a bird
seek the shade like a lion
drink water like an elephant
Laugh like a hyena
Run like a cheetah
Feel free like the animal kindom
Love
and
be balanced like the universe!
Thank you sun

Tan the man!

WE as people are interesting creatures. For the last week the only thing people are talking about is how to get the perfect tan... so here goes

Some of us think that being white is all right, some think that golden is hot, but a sun burn is not. Some like to tan as dark as they can. In Kina and India people try to stay white, but here in Europe and Scandinavia we throw ourselves under the sun at first sight.  So for those of you who wondered why we do get color on our skin, here is you answer: Exposure to the sun triggers a defense mechanism in the skin. We are kind of like prey evolving to protect us from the predator SUN. The skin releases the pigment melanin in an attempt to darken to ward off the damaging rays. However, this multi-day process often begins with the pain and redness of a sunburn. Some people have less melanin than others and are more likely to burn. So do stress so much with getting the perfect tan. You will not get tanner then your melanin level allows.. so relax and play under the sun, don't wast hours laying still boiling your skin. Cause that tan will not last long any ways.  Use a sunscreen and wear protective clothing to safeguard your skin from the sun's harmful rays, if you are active, swim and play then you will get an even tan any day. UNless you've work in Africa like me then you tend to get a farmer tan;) Evolve your prey status against the predator SUN!

Be *green* in Lime!

 Be *green* in lime.
Be inspired by the fresh things in life.
Eat fruit from a tree or a bush
Sleep under the stars, escape the city and cars.
Run as fast as you can
move slow across the sand
swim over and under
Laugh and discuss
listen to music and cuss.
Feel the sun warm on your skin.
Listen to the silent sound of a dropping pin
recycle your jeans and cut them short
Being organic is a good sport.
Kick off your shoes you only need them in winter
Read a good play by Harold PInter
Dress in colors of all that is fresh, and not grey.
When the clouds are away, we humans play!

Found on the ground

Ants rely on a scent trail left by their scouts to guide the colony to food or building material. So when we step into the middle of a train of ants we actually sabotage their trail. We break the scent and delay their path to food or building material.  So we can look at it in two ways
1. That we sabotage and ruin for the ants?
or
2. that we remind the ants that in order to reach a goal, you have to get lost a few times, walk alone a few times, climb hurdles, to again rediscover that they were on the right path all along. And when they get there, then they know that it's not only great to reach the goal, but that the journey there also was an adventure.
Am I Talking about ants only? or people too? I guess nature showed us another lesson in life.

Which baboon is human?

There are a number of genetic and physiological similarities between baboons and humans. It includes organ sizes, presence of menopause, and structures of major tissues. Like humans, baboons respond to stress through the release of stress hormones, and these two groups have about 95 percent genetic similarity. Because of such traits, baboons have been used to study obesity, heart disease, epilepsy, and other human diseases. A baboon liver has even been transplanted into a human.
Nonetheless, the gulf between humans and baboons is immense, as people exhibit complex languages, complex technologies, and complex social behaviors as religion and politics. Baboons however practice a sort of mafia system amongst them selves where a group of dominant males are the rules and protecters with a bunch of ladies flocking around them. So I guess thats Why people enjoy watching baboon documentaries on Animal Planet as much as they enjoy watching the God father.

Natural is a winner!

The natural nude is a winner. Best advertisement ever. Are people that predictable? I guess so. Its funny to me though how we as people are scared of being in the nude. We hate it when people see straight through us, or when we make a fool out of ourselves. As children we run around on the beach without a worry, the only thing we carry is a bucket and a spade. But as we get older and become more self aware we start caring too much about the voice on the outside.. When it comes to music videos, ads & movies however, then nudity is the only thing that sells . hmm..! interesting..

Be renewable!

While we are waiting for the sun to stay up, and not hide behind a cloud. Then I would recommend you to invest in a stylish and sustainable pair of sunglasses which are made from renewable tea tree wood. The lightweight frames are as comfortable as they are cool.
Don't waste tons of money on designer shades made from plastic, buy the "Waiting for the sun" glasses they are good to the environment and much more fantastic.

Summer O'hoy

Finally (almost) summer in Norway O'hoy!
The sun finally broke through the clouds.. oh boy
We can take of our shoes and walk bare feet
we can swap soup with fruit, a natural treat
Play with colors, shorts and hats
Listen to birdsong and the mating of cats.
Swim, dance and hike through the mountains,
or if you live in a city, seek refuge by the cooling fountains.
Start you day with yoga or Chi Gong!
Fell the sun on your face and feel healthy and strong.
Spend you time together, spend you time with none
And when summer is over you can ask why the rum is always gone!!

Play natural this spring

Let your hair blow in the wind
Let you skin glow
Walk around in flat shoes and get the natural flow
Wear bangles or bracelets made of wood or recycled glass
Choose indian silver instead of gold and brass.
Wear the color tones of sand and soil
Walk out of the sun before your skin starts to boil.
I guess what im trying to say
is
play and face the spring in a natural way;)

Mustache or lipstick

People always talk about traits of a man and traits of a women. But I think its better to talk about the masculine and feminine sides that both sexes possess. You have chicks who can lift bricks, and guys who cannot even lift a milk carton and visa versa. So its up to you to find the balance between the mustache and the lipstick. You can be gentle, strong, sensitive, muscular, nurturing, a provider, intuitive, rational, a home maker and a home builder, quiet and outspoken, passive and aggressive, responsive and leading, cooperative and competitive all at once or in different scenarios. So stop thinking that you are only one color or that you only have to choose to be one thing. You can be a mustache and a lipstick!!!

Who are you in The farm bunch?

- Sheep people are shy by nature and they never have ulterior motives for doing things. Sheep must have a leader (shepherd) and must be told what to do and where to go, other wise they'll wander off and get lost.
Chickens live together as a flock. They have a communal approach to the incubation of eggs and raising of young. Chickens enjoy dust bathing and become frustrated if they are prevented from doing so. Do you like it when you are denied things?
-Cows are highly social animals, they form friendships and have close bonds with family members and are very maternal, they grieve terribly when their young are taken from them. When a heard of cows settle down for a nap they position themselves according to their status in the herd.
- Horses have safety is their primary concern and fear is their primary reaction. They are herd animals who look to their “alpha” for leadership. They are smart, willing, and love to work.
- Goats are curious and intelligent. A goat is a goat they do not worry about what others think of them. THeir brain works similar to a dog minus the "must please humans" thing that dogs have.
WHo are you in the farm Bunch?

SOooo Soft

We always want our sweaters, jeans and scarfs to be soft. We like to be comfortable! we like good quality. But what is quality??. We choose things that makes us feel better, we choose friends that make us feel good, we play music that touches us and eat food that makes us go MMMmmmmm. But what we try to achieve all this is quality of life. But remember this.. real comfort is a combination of what feels good and the things thats itchy. The things that makes us laugh and the things that makes us angry. Lambs are soft, but the adult sheep is rough, the lamb is sweet and the mum is tough. So lets' complete the sentence... Good is bad and bad is good. I would not change it if I could!!!

Don't kiss a frog!!!!

Most people have heard the story about the girl who kissed a frog who turned into a prince. And a popular phrase related to this story is, "You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your handsome prince." It is used to encourage those who still seek true love. Frogs are know for their metamorphosis which is the change of shape during an animal’s life. During metamorphosis the tadpole will develop back legs first, then front legs. Around 6 weeks of life the mouth starts to widen. Sometime around 10 weeks the froglet’s, as it is now called, eyes start to bulge out and the tail begins to shrink and eventually disappear. When the lungs finish developing the froglet makes it’s way onto the land and, Ta-da! It’s a frog! So it cannot be a price. Maybe try kissing a cheetah next time. you never know when you will get lucky! At least you prince will be a fast one;)

look down please

Hey! Have you remembered to look down lately?
everything in our world changes all the time. fashion changes, music changes, jobs and economy changes, love changes, animals change, nature change and we change. But the soil and ground we walk on stays the same, except for when we throw pavement on it;) SO take the time to read the stories of the tracks that have crossed. The tracks tell stories of the small and great, the beginnings and the ends, the early and the too late. A track will tell you about them and us, so don't worry about all the other materialistic fuss.

Look out!!!

Every day we walk past the greatest wonders in our world without noticing them. Most of the time we think we have to travel far or to exotic places to experience the spectacular and breathtaking sides of nature. We think we have throw ourselves off planes and race each other to get a rush. We think we have to buy stuff to feel rich, get an education to feel smart. But all we have to do is to just open our eyes for all which surrounds us, big or small, short or tall... and that is when you will see that this all, is a reflection of yourself and that there is nothing called nothing, cause we are and the all around is everything.

Something WRIGHT

Sky high or scared to fly?
We crawl
we walk
and run
and then we choose if we want to fly.
Are you ready to spread your wings ?
Or do you like sticking to the ordinary things?
Don't be scared of flying high
worst thing that can happen is to fall
and retry..
WHen you are up there above the clouds
you are lucky to travel between them, in them
through the layers of them.
The layers of challenge, support, storm and beauty.
Over a landscape acting as a hologram of the snowy season which past and will return.
SHowing us there is still a lot left to learn.
Mr and Mr Wright did something right!!!

The Wright brothers Orville and Wilbur, were two Americans  who was credited with inventing and building the world's first successful airplane and making the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human flight.

They fly us into beauty!!!

bush girl back in the modeling world

Back in civilization, and back to work. From bare-feet in the bush to high heals in the city. From no mirrors and a dirty face to nail polish, dresses and lace. Incredible to see  and be apart of the differences in a world, and how we all live and function on each our side. And that you can be a bush girl on a city modeling ride. Remember that it is possible to be a natural girl in a materialistic world. its your choice!
