Hairstylist+model= model + giraffe

Hairstylists often have a problem with models being too tall, and they solve it with standing on a chair to reach the hight where the air is thinner.. but as a consolation  I struggle in the same way when rehabilitating a giraffe in Africa..And i do not need a chair i need a ladder.. So guys Tall is the same as small, it just stretched a bit.

sharing is caring

Sharing is caring regardless of who you are or where you are from, whether you walk on two legs or four legs. The same thing counts for when you want something in life or you want to achieve something... cause if you want something you also have to dare to care, and when you have it its even better when you share.

Color guide for fall

Have you ever wondered why we surround us with certain colors, why they change with the season, why we choose colors and what they mean.?
Red is the color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love.

Orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It is associated with joy, sunshine, and the tropics. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation.

Yellow is the color of sunshine. It's associated with joy, happiness, intellect, and energy. Yellow produces a warming effect, arouses cheerfulness, stimulates mental activity, and generates muscle energy.
Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety. Dark green is also commonly associated with money.
Whats your favorite color?

We might be big in Japan but....

When we go to Japan we end up being big in Japan,  I'm not talking about being famous, simply just being tall big, and yes its easy to see a tall norwegian in the masses of people i Tokyo. But WHen they come to Norway, or anywhere in the world they also become big in the country they are visiting. Not because they are tall or famous, but because they always travel in big groups. I mean yesterday in the Park in Oslo there was more Japanese tourists then norwegian people, and more japanese language then norwegian language to be heard. I love it, cause this way we can feel like we are traveling even though we are in the country we grew up. And once again you realize that the world is a house where every country is just another room in the house.

oh my How big we are!

I have a little delightful thought I would like to share to start off the day.
Sting sings about how fragile we are, but he forgot to mention how big we are, and how much bigger then ourselves we are. We look in the mirror and see what we know based on what written in our passport or what other people have told you.. e.g that I'm a 180 cm tall blonde girl.
But when you look at your own shadow it is much greater then you mirror reflection, so are we as people just like icebergs? Where you only see a small part of the total greatness? so with this way of thinking we can keep sailing our ship of life knowing that who we are is someone great, and that we must alway be on the look for other icebergs.

Do not miss The growth of the soil

This evening I went to see the play THE growth of the soild by Knut Hamsun, directed and acted out by  the norwegian Juni Dahr in a barn on an island outside Oslo.
The growth of the soil is the life story of a man in the wilds, the genesis and gradual development of a homestead, the unit of humanity, in the unfilled, uncleared tracts that still remain in the Norwegian Highlands. It is an epic of earth; the history of a microcosm. Its dominant note is one of patient strength and simplicity; the mainstay of its working is the tacit, stern, yet loving alliance between Nature and the Man who faces her himself, trusting to himself and her for the physical means of life, and the spiritual contentment with life which she must grant if he be worthy. Modern man faces Nature only by proxy, or as proxy, through others or for others, and the intimacy is lost. In the wilds the contact is direct and immediate; it is the foothold upon earth, the touch of the soil itself, that gives strength.
The story is epic in its magnitude, in its calm, steady progress and unhurrying rhythm, in its vast and intimate humanity. And Juni Dahr has created and recreated a nature and situation so abnormal that it is normal, so profound that you end up finding yourself. So wonderful and recognizing that you cannot stop applauding.

shoes and life

shoes walking through life to end up as naked feet on ground

What do you see?

What do you see?
What do I see
Can it be?
that we observe the same?
Or that we observe different?
Is the blue I envision
the same blue for you?
Is an action standing still or is it to do?
Is the temperature of the sun
as hot
or as cold
for both of us?
Is bad good for you?
And good bad for me?
Through the lens of life
Can
we agree
 on what we see?

How far are you willing to go?

How far would you go to be in contact with nature? This far?
It is all about how far you are willing to go to be in touch with your natural self. When you reach the point of not caring about appearance and luxury, but instead you focus on presence and feeling the wind on your skin and looking into the deep endless of our world.
Cause when you are facing the endless, you start to focus on your goals, dreams and ambitions.

DO not Miss this!

A baby wildebeest is in this video saved by a lioness. It is remarkable, cause this forces us to stop and think for a second and see that not everything is so black and white. Nothing is purely primitive, or purely this or that, because there is a heart always and we are entangled regardless of who is the hunter and who usually is the prey. And by the way you see it in people and in animals, that who is playing what role changes all the time. One day we hunt other days we are hunted. Some days we are loved other days we are hated. The only thing we can truly prepare for is the unexpected.

A Sunday Survival tip;)

DO NOT WORRY about getting lost, even though the forrest in Norway can be quite big, you will still be able to find your way.. All you have to do is to follow the boot tracks, the dog tracks and the smell of coffee & Fresh baked bread. This is my Number 1 sunday hike survival tip for not getting lost in norway. Good luck.

Its Sunday! take a hike!

Every Sunday you will hardly see anyone in the cities of Norway, cause everyone is hiking in nature. Every parking place is full around the hiking areas, and people are running around the Forrest in their hiking gear trying to reach tops, peaks, waters or Forrest cafes. it's a day for families in nature, and this is how I've spent nearly every Sunday since i was born. BUt unfortunately im now to old to be carried if I get tired. But hey its family day. go out in nature people and start to play;)

Aleks of the jungle, watch out for that tree

When I was a kid I was always more in trees than on the ground, partly because I always wanted to be like ABU the monkey in Aladdin, and partly because liked the challenge.
For other people climbing stairs is enough excitement and challenge. Imagine that for a small primate it requires the exact same amount of energy to climb a tree as to stroll around on ground! We are all different and nothing is right or wrong, and we as people are walkers not climbers by nature, but hey no one said you can't make exceptions.

a furry wakeup.

Regardless of where and with who you woke up today, i will tell you a little story from a sunday morning in Africa where i woke up next to a furry one and my best buddy Jonas.
We went into and area of the cheetahs to sleep one night, we found a spot and laid down to wait for something that might come and join us. For and hours there was not a sound in the starry night, and then from the silent isolation of stars, came an intense PURRR from 4 cheetahs. And before we knew it they had placed themselves on top of us. They slept purring on top of us the whole night, resting their heads on ours, to seek warmth I guess.. A few times during the night my buddy got peed on by one of the cheetahs, and several times our face was licked/pealed by the rough cheetah tongue.. but no one cared as this was a magical human- animal experience. The next morning however was slightly more fun and bizarre. You see, jonas was laying on one side of the cheetah and I was laying on the other side, so I wake up by JOnas who was busy scratching my ear, petting my face and hair thinking that is was the cheetah. I know i kind of have the same slender shape as a cheetah, but man Im not that furry.

WHo did you wake up next to?

Its sunday morning, its a day for reflexion, planning or to think back on the week that passed or last night. Depends where your focus is.

Some people wake up early to go hiking, some people wake up in a room smelling of egg and beacon, some people wake up with a headache, whilst others wake up on a bench. Some wake up next to their companion or loved one, some wake up with no one and some wake up with the who the fuck are you one, some plays the i slept with a rocks star game and some walks every sunday home a long the hallways of shame.

Some things gets old, other things never do.

What is fall to you?
Is it when summer gets old ?
is it when warm turns cold
it it when green goes red
or is it when leaves goes wrinkly.
Is it when everything dies
Is it when everyone cries.
Is fall a ending or a beginning
Two kids on the run
from something
 the city  perhaps
seeking into the woods
It is in the middle of fall, its cold, they are all alone. They stay together, they loose each other, they loose them selves, they find each other they find themselves.
they drink love, eat the cold
warm up by absorbing the colors of the leaves.
By one look a sweater with thick sleeves.
fall is inspiration
fall is here and will leave.

Fall is a open door if only you believe.

Be inspired- by the norwegian Dylan

Prepare for fall by getting inspired. Listen to the tunes of Jonas Alaska a 21 year old guy from Norway, know to be the Norwegian answer to Bob Dylan.

Are you a chameleon

Are you a chameleon?
Some chameleon species are able to change their skin colors. Different chameleon species are able to change different colors which can include pink, blue, red, orange, green, black, brown, light blue, yellow, turquoise and purple
The primary purpose of color change has been found to be due to social signalling, as opposed to camouflage, although both social signalling color change, and color change for purposes of camouflage do occur in most chameleons, to some extent. Color change is also used as an expression of the physiological condition of the lizard, and as a social indicator to other chameleons.

Is not that what we as people to all the time. We are who we are right? but depending on the setting we are in we change our appearance and behavior to fit our environment! I had to adapt all the time. I went from tomboy, to girly model, to boyish model, to actress to animal conservationist. We are everything, and that is why we are all chameleons. you can be everything all you have to do is to choose a setting, a character and a color. Life is a theater, play it out
